The house twenty years from now

When I was a child, I left home, and my parents said goodbye to me at the door. Twenty years later, when I returned to visit them, I realized that everything had changed dramatically.

The exterior of the house was made from a new type of material that is both waterproof and fireproof. In the event of a flood, it would channel the water around the house, ensuring it never gets wet; in the case of a forest fire, it would emit water jets to extinguish the flames. When I approached the door, it opened on its own, and a robot came out, saying, “Welcome back, little master!” As it spoke, it led me inside. I saw my parents sitting on the sofa—this wasn’t the old one; it was floating in mid-air, with buttons on it. My father, seeing me, hugged me while crying and said, “You’re finally back! I’ve had someone prepare a meal for you!”
After that, he instructed the robot sweeping the floor to start preparing the food. Then I went to my bedroom, and as soon as I lay down on the bed, it felt as soft as cotton candy, and it even smelled nice.
Before long, my father called me to eat. When I went downstairs, I found a table full of delicious dishes that I loved. My father explained, “The robots in the house scanned you and learned what you like to eat.” After the meal, I decided to cook a meal for my parents that evening. Back in my bedroom, I found a toy from my childhood in a corner; not a speck of dust on it—this shows how much my parents missed me!
I can’t wait to see what this house will be like twenty years from now!
